Belarus may sell MAZ via open tender
2011-09-16    Belarus may hold an open tender to choose the strategic investor to sell MAZ assets to, Belarusian Industry Minister Dmitry Katerinich told media on 16 September.

The Minister said that a team of experts were busy assessing MAZ assets. The evaluation is supposed to be completed by the end of the year. “An independent international evaluation campaign is in progress,” he said.

The Minister added Belarus had not chosen the investor yet. “We have no idea whether KamAZ or GAZ will be our partner. I think a tender will be held to help choose the strategic investor”. The Minister did not rule out the possibility that the tender might be an open one.
